Verification and Validation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites for system-level validation
• Create automated validation workflows for regression, integration, and functional testing
• Develop Python-based scripts for DUT interaction, UE control, and telemetry collection
• Execute functional and system-level validation in lab and CI/CD environments
• Investigate failures using logs, traces, telemetry, packet captures, and network debugging tools
• Contribute improvements to automation frameworks and test infrastructure

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Software, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Strong programming and scripting skills in Python
• Familiarity with C++, Bash/Shell, or automation-oriented software development
• Experience with Pytest, Playwright, API testing, or automation frameworks
• Experience with CI/CD environments (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps)
• Proficiency with Linux environments and Git version control
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Ethernet, APIs)
• Familiarity with Wireshark and log analysis
• Eligibility to obtain Canadian Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with wireless systems (LTE/5G), embedded systems, or RF environments
• Experience with NI ecosystem tools (TestStand, LabVIEW, PXI)
• Familiarity with telemetry and observability tools (MQTT, Kafka, Grafana, Prometheus)
• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
• Background in telecom, aerospace, or defense industries
