Venue Security Guard

Responsibilities

• Guard, patrol, and monitor venue premises to ensure the safety of patrons, employees, and assets
• Conduct regular building patrols and respond to security or safety-related calls in a timely manner
• Prevent theft, violence, or infractions of venue rules
• Operate metal detector equipment as required
• Investigate incidents and compile accurate reports
• Interact with patrons, vendors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner
• Adhere to all department policies, procedures, and legal/ethical instructions

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current valid CA Guard card or security license
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Ability to walk, stand, reach, pull, push, grasp, and drag
• Ability to lift at least 45 lbs
• Ability to remain calm and effective during crises or when interacting with emotional patrons
