Vendor Relations Manager

Responsibilities

• Own vendor relationships end-to-end, serving as the primary contact for datacenter, colocation, and connectivity providers.
• Lead commercial negotiations for pricing, contract terms, SLAs, and NRC/MRC structures.
• Manage the full vendor lifecycle, including onboarding, contract renewals, escalations, and offboarding.
• Design and manage RFQ/RFP workflows for new vendor evaluations and expansion projects.
• Source and negotiate network infrastructure including IP transit, private point-to-point circuits, wavelengths, and dark fiber.
• Track and report on vendor performance, SLA compliance, and spend.
• Coordinate with network engineering, legal, finance, and procurement teams on infrastructure planning and contract reviews.
• Manage vendor escalations and drive resolution through RFO/RCA processes.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain (ideally in telecom, datacenter, or cloud infrastructure).
• Proven experience negotiating MSAs, SOWs, and SLAs.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to normalize multi-vendor comparisons.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and project management tools like Jira or Salesforce.
• Basic understanding of networking and connectivity concepts (e.g., IP transit, cross-connects).
• Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with datacenter vendor management (power, cooling, colocation).
• Familiarity with IP transit, peering, or carrier interconnect procurement.
• Experience building vendor onboarding or tracking processes from scratch.
• SQL or advanced data analysis skills for spend and performance reporting.
• Background in telecom or CPaaS vendor management.
