Vehicle Safety Operator

Responsibilities

• Support real-world autonomous vehicle testing operations across Japan
• Safely monitor autonomous driving systems during on-road testing and intervene whenever required
• Provide structured operational feedback to engineers and research teams to help improve AI driving performance
• Support data collection and validation activities for AI system training
• Maintain high operational and safety standards while reporting vehicle or safety issues

Requirements

• Full clean Japanese driving licence held for a minimum of 5 years
• Strong driving experience in Japan, including complex urban environments
• No blameworthy insurance claims in the past three years
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite
• Ability to use smartphones, tablets, and basic troubleshooting for mobile apps
• Ability to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends
• Willingness to undergo health checks and ongoing drug/alcohol testing

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced driving background (ADI, Emergency Response Advanced Driver, or similar)
• Strong familiarity with driving across both urban and highway environments in Japan
