Responsibilities

• Mask and protect parts that are not to be painted or coated
• Fill cavities and dents with Bondo to attain smooth surfaces
• Select and mix paint according to specific requirements
• Blend color between adjacent parts to optimize integration
• Lay out stripe patterns to achieve desired aesthetics
• Inspect and verify work quality and document defects
• Maintain tools and keep equipment in proper repair
• Comply with all laws regarding hazardous materials like paint and thinners
• Operate sanders, grinding tools, and HVLP spray guns
• Use computers or tablets to input data and retrieve assembly instructions

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an automotive painter or equivalent training
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 70 lbs
• Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours per day
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding
• Ability to work a 5:00 a.m. start time

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a team-oriented production or manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of data entry using tablets or computers
