Vehicle Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections of mechanical systems, safety features, and overall vehicle condition to maintain asset reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in engines, transmissions, suspension, braking, and electrical components using structured troubleshooting.
• Perform timely repairs and replacements on tires, brakes, bearings, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, and HVAC systems.
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and lubrication.
• Test vehicle systems after repairs to ensure functionality and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Manage accurate service logs, repair records, and inspection documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and strictly adhere to safety protocols regarding tools and hazardous materials.
• Utilize diagnostic software and automotive information systems to interpret digital service data and update electronic records.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of commercial vehicle maintenance experience.
• Proven success working with engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, suspensions, and braking systems.
• ASE certifications or equivalent technical expertise.
• Proficiency in operating diagnostic software and digital service tools.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with management and drivers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Possession of a Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A or Class B.
