Vehicle Hardware & Software Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and basic software-facing systems
• Support hardware and software retrofit activities
• Document issues, work performed, parts used, and vehicle readiness status
• Communicate repair status and support needs to operations teams
• Follow established safety procedures and support fleet operations

Requirements

• Automotive or electromechanical technician foundation
• Experience in vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance
• Ability to work across mechanical and electrical vehicle systems
• Basic Linux familiarity including terminal navigation and log review
• Valid California driver’s license
• Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule including weekends
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift 40 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE or OEM technician certifications
• ADAS or sensor calibration experience
• Exposure to LiDAR, radar, cameras, or embedded computer systems
• Experience with EV, AV, or R&D vehicles
• Familiarity with Slack, Jira, or Google Suite
