Vegetation Management Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform vegetation control activities including mowing, trimming, and removal of brush
• Inspect work areas to identify potential hazards, encroachments, and vegetation-related risks
• Operate and maintain equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and other power tools
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including treatment methods, locations, and quantities
• Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Support emergency response efforts related to vegetation impacts, such as storm damage clearance
• Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental guidelines, and applicable regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
• Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment safely
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work on uneven terrain for extended periods
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
• Willingness to work overtime as needed for work or training

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in vegetation management or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proactive, resourceful, and detail-oriented mindset
