Vascular Technologist II

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced vascular examinations including Venous Duplex, arterial segmental pressures, continuous wave Doppler, and abdominal duplex scans.
• Conduct exams at the patient's bedside or in the lab using Doppler, duplex imaging, and plethysmography.
• Prepare preliminary reports and communicate findings to referring physicians according to laboratory protocols.
• Serve as a Team Leader by triaging urgent requests and managing patient or family concerns.
• Participate in research studies by gathering data and following specific departmental protocols.
• Assist in the training and didactic instruction of students, interns, and medical fellows.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and perform quality assessment activities to ensure accreditation standards.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for urgent venous duplex exams during nights and weekends.

Requirements

• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• Proven expertise in vascular technology and imaging.
• Proficiency with EPIC and PACS systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot imaging units and specialized software like PenVasc.
