Vascular Assistant

Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive diagnostics such as ultrasound and collect medical histories
• Provide patient education and preparation for surgical procedures
• Assist in operations, interventions, blood collection, and IV placement
• Coordinate vascular outpatient clinics and wards
• Manage wound care according to medical instructions
• Handle coding of diseases and procedures

Requirements

• Completed training as a medical assistant (MFA, OTA, MTA, etc.) or in nursing
• At least two years of experience in a vascular surgery facility or one year in angiology
• Experience as an instrumenting specialist in the OR
• Completed structured further training in anatomy, diagnostics, and surgical processes
• Recognition by the DGG (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Gefäßchirurgie und Gefäßmedizin)
