Varsity Boys' Head Lacrosse Coach

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analyze previous games to develop practice and game plans
• Determine individual player abilities and factor them into season strategy
• Support team rules and regulations and ensure player familiarity
• Organize team-building sessions and activities off the field
• Foster good sportsmanship in all players and phases of participation
• Manage and supervise athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions
• Support student-athletes in the recruiting process for higher-level play
• Use various instructional techniques to improve student-athlete abilities
• Take necessary precautions to protect student-athletes, equipment, and facilities

Requirements

• Lacrosse coaching experience
• In-depth knowledge of the game and current coaching techniques
• Knowledge of VISAA rules
• Ability to instruct, relate to, and supervise student-athletes
• Strong communication, management, and motivational skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for prolonged periods
• Proficiency in utilizing technology
