About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the coordination of clinical research activities, including participant recruitment, screening, enrollment, and follow-up.
  • Manage day-to-day study protocol tasks such as specimen processing and maintaining research supply inventory.
  • Facilitate communication between the Principal Investigator, compliance offices, study sponsors, and healthcare providers.
  • Perform data entry activities, including Protected Health Information (PHI), clinical, and administrative data.
  • Maintain accurate clinical research files, including case report forms (CRFs), questionnaires, and adverse event reporting.
  • Coordinate financial transactions related to the study, such as participant compensation.
  • Ensure adherence to workplace safety protocols and ethical standards for research.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training, and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
  • Strong customer-service orientation and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to work semi-independently in a deadline-driven, multi-tasking environment.
  • Commitment to fostering diversity and equity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in a relevant clinical research field.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Experience with electronic medical records or research data entry tools (e.g., Epic, REDCap, Qualtrics).
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, HIPAA, and IRB regulatory activities.
  • Familiarity with Columbia health and research systems.
