Variable Hours Officer

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing patient information to the interventionist and clinical team during procedures, including cardiac monitoring, Aldrete scores, and pain status.
• Monitor patient vitals such as heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and EKG during procedures.
• Gather pre-treatment clinical information, including patient assessments and medical history.
• Assist in recovery room patient care following surgical procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient medical records and up-to-date narcotic drug logs.
• Develop and provide patient education and discharge instructions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care and assist with postoperative visits and office evaluations.
• Support the department in obtaining and maintaining AAAASF accreditation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent in education and experience.
• 4 years of related clinical experience.
• Valid New York State RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate effectively with multicultural and language-deficit patients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
