VAR Replay Operator

Responsibilities

• Trigger and manage real-time VARdict graphics to explain reviews to broadcasters and audiences
• Provide immediate access to relevant camera angles alongside the Lead Replay Operator
• Capture, timestamp, and archive key match incidents for rapid retrieval
• Communicate with officials, stadium staff, and broadcast production teams during live windows
• Set up VAR technology at stadiums and conduct thorough pre-match system checks
• Monitor hardware and software performance and troubleshoot issues during matches
• Complete detailed post-match reports to enhance future operations

Requirements

• Extensive understanding of football and the Laws of the Game
• Ability to learn specialized software quickly with an interest in video formats or PC networking
• Ability to maintain composure in fast-paced, live broadcast environments
• Fluency in English with professional communication skills
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and midweek evenings
• Ability to drive the VAR Van to and from stadiums across Croatia

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with replay tools, live event production software, or video editing suites
• Background or education in Sports Management, Media production, or Broadcast Tech
