Van Driver

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to and from medical appointments, outings, and shopping trips
• Maintain vehicles in accordance with warranty requirements and internal maintenance plans to ensure safe working order
• Act as an Activity Assistant during excursions, staying with the group to ensure safety
• Monitor resident activity and alert staff when assistance is necessary to ensure resident safety
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing activities requiring van transportation

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Demonstrated interest in elderly care and knowledge of servicing their needs
• Demonstrated experience in activities or recreation
• Excellent communication skills
• High School diploma or equivalent certificate preferred
