Van Driver

Responsibilities

• Operate university 15-passenger vans and luxury buses for campus transportation
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability
• Assist passengers with restricted mobility, including maneuvering wheelchairs and assisting elderly or handicapped passengers
• Provide safety oversight during university-sanctioned trips
• Work with the University Fleet Manager to support maintenance workflows for the campus fleet
• Maintain a professional, punctual, and respectful demeanor while interacting with students, staff, and faculty
• Maintain flexibility to work a schedule that includes weekends and holidays as needed

Requirements

• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with a clean driving record
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to perform essential physical functions, including sitting for extended periods, climbing stairs, and carrying up to 20 pounds
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and general technology use
• Ability to pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
• Ability to pass required background checks, including PA State Police Criminal History, Child Abuse, FBI, and National Sex Offender Registry clearances

Preferred Qualifications

• CDL License with "S" or "P" endorsement
• 1 year of experience as a van driver
