Value Stream Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the strategic plan to grow a Large Scale Machine (LFM) manufacturing facility
• Manage daily operations including production, maintenance, quality, and logistics
• Ensure a zero-incident culture by implementing safety protocols and regulatory requirements (OSHA, FDA, etc.)
• Recruit, hire, develop, and mentor a high-performing manufacturing team
• Champion Lean principles such as Value Stream Analysis, RIE, SMED, and 5S to eliminate waste
• Monitor and improve metrics including OEE, productivity, scrap, and labor efficiency
• Manage the value stream's budget and P&L, including capital expenditures and cost control
• Partner with Sourcing, Technical, Quality, and Commercial teams to align manufacturing with market demands
• Implement advanced manufacturing processes, automation strategies, and quality control systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in machine shop management, preferably in Large Scale Machining
• 5+ years in a leadership role within a sophisticated manufacturing environment
• Experience with facility startup, new product introduction, and production scale-up
• Solid understanding of machining manufacturing
• Expertise in automation, Industry 4.0, and smart manufacturing technologies
• Background and experience in lean production
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and other quality management systems
