About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a coordinated national value, access, and policy affairs strategy in collaboration with country management
- Build and leverage Amgen’s reputation as a science-based thought leader to contribute to patients, providers, and health systems
- Represent Amgen at key national industry meetings and actively shape industry strategy on priority issues
- Partner with MEA Health Economics and Regional Pricing & Contracting teams to ensure global plans incorporate appropriate evidence strategies for the Kingdom
- Anticipate changing payer landscapes by maintaining a deep understanding of emerging trends and reimbursement environments
- Guide country teams in developing access plans and preparing for new product launches
- Collaborate with global and regional partners to conduct annual reimbursement situational analyses
Requirements
- Doctorate degree with 5 years of experience in similar roles at a large pharmaceutical company, OR
- Master’s degree with 8 years of experience in similar roles at a large pharmaceutical company, OR
- Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience in similar roles at a large pharmaceutical company
- Fluency in Arabic and English (both oral and written)
- Deep understanding of the Saudi payer and government environment, including reimbursement, pricing, contracting, and formulary management
- Expertise in strategic pricing and innovative contracting models, such as risk-sharing deals
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and navigate large, complex, matrixed organizations
- Strong ability to review clinical and health economic literature to understand implications for payers
