Validation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support validation activities for DV/PV testing of components, systems, and vehicles
• Develop and release comprehensive DV/PV test plans based on program targets
• Support engineering design and DFMEA reviews with internal teams and suppliers
• Coordinate requirements and design verification with external testing resources
• Support the development and implementation of internal test benches
• Deploy instrumentation and data acquisition strategies for effective testing
• Gather and refine complex data sets into usable reports
• Report test results and document non-conformances to identify root causes
• Support maintenance and calibration of test equipment and instrumentation
• Act as a technical resource at external facilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of engineering industry experience
• Experience in automotive or heavy-duty vehicle testing and validation
• Experience supervising 3rd party test facilities and working with suppliers
• Knowledge of FMVSS, ADA, APTA, SAE HD, and NFPA standards
• Experience with hands-on troubleshooting, prototyping, and validation
• Familiarity with instrumentation and data acquisition equipment
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and navigate a manufacturing environment
• Ability to travel up to 30%
