Validation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define and own Base’s validation strategy, building a robust framework that scales with product complexity and fleet growth
• Lead the development of validation protocols for inverters, batteries, and power systems using thermal chambers, high-power supplies, and advanced test equipment
• Architect and oversee the development of validation automation software and infrastructure
• Ensure requirements and test management systems are versioned, consistent, and reliable across teams
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve validation findings, influence design decisions, and improve product reliability
• Generate and communicate detailed validation reports to support compliance, certification, and executive decision-making

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software or electromechanical validation, specifically with power systems, hardware, or embedded products
• Expertise with validation equipment including thermal chambers, high-power supplies, and DAQ systems
• Experience with test automation frameworks
• Experience leading validation programs from concept through production release
• Strong background in requirements and test management systems and version control
• Proven ability to build, lead, and mentor high-performing engineering teams
• Systems-level mindset and passion for building reliable, resilient products
