UXO Quality Control Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage the site quality program by implementing and enforcing all quality requirements in the Project Work Plan.
• Ensure operations produce a quality product while adhering to federal and state regulations.
• Inspect procedures and policies for compliance with industry standards.
• Evaluate methods and means for cost effectiveness to reduce waste and product failure.
• Conduct workforce training on ordnance and inspect safety procedures to maximize effectiveness.
• Communicate negative production trends or major deficiencies to the Project Manager and Quality Manager.
• Serve as the site liaison to the on-site USACE Safety Representative.

Requirements

• Graduate of a qualified explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) school.
• At least eight years of combined military and commercial UXO experience.
• Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification (IAW 29 CFR 1910.120).
• Current 29 CFR 1910.120 HAZWOPER Physical.
• Active membership in the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
• Valid Driver License.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to travel internationally and work outside normal hours as dictated by workload.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certification or currently in training for certification.
