About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own research studies end-to-end, from defining questions and methodology to participant recruitment and synthesis.
  • Plan and moderate qualitative research sessions, including interviews, usability tests, and contextual inquiries.
  • Design and analyze quantitative studies such as surveys, tree tests, and benchmarking to integrate with qualitative insights.
  • Use AI-assisted research tools to accelerate operational tasks like transcription and affinity mapping.
  • Communicate findings to cross-functional partners in product, engineering, and leadership to influence product roadmaps.
  • Partner with Product Designers and Product Managers throughout the entire development lifecycle.
  • Maintain a shared research repository to ensure findings are discoverable and actionable for the broader team.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of hands-on UX research experience on digital products.
  • Demonstrated fluency in both qualitative (interviews, usability testing) and quantitative (surveys, analytics review) methods.
  • Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Anthropology, or a related behavioral discipline.
  • Experience using AI tools to accelerate research synthesis and operational workflows.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex data into decisive recommendations.
  • A portfolio or case studies demonstrating research studies owned from initial question to final product impact.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience collaborating with data scientists to triangulate qualitative findings with behavioral analytics.
  • Ability to operate effectively within ambiguity and define research questions when briefs are incomplete.
  • Proven track record of influencing product decisions and shifting roadmaps through research insights.
