UX Engineer

Responsibilities

• Translate brand identity into high-quality digital experiences using Figma
• Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual assets
• Shape core user journeys and champion user-centered design principles
• Guide internal teams in applying brand and UX principles to third-party platforms
• Create visual assets for social media, web content, and email campaigns
• Partner cross-functionally with engineers, curators, and executive leadership
• Identify improvements through user research, A/B testing, and usability testing
• Maintain design documentation and operational workflows

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in digital design, UX/UI, or a related field
• Advanced proficiency with Figma and design systems
• Experience building front-end components and implementing codebase changes
• Demonstrated experience with JavaScript and/or frontend frameworks
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UX strategy and visual storytelling
• Understanding of accessibility guidelines and responsive design
• Experience with user research tools like Google Analytics and Hotjar
• Bachelor’s degree in interaction design, product design, graphic design, or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with cultural institutions or arts organizations
• A/B testing experience
