Utility Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for vacations, call-offs, resignations, and short-term vacancies
• Respond to work assignments on short notice
• Perform all assigned post duties in accordance with post orders and company policy
• Maintain required licenses, certifications, and training for all supported sites
• Accurately report time worked and comply with payroll procedures
• Assist in minimizing overtime while ensuring adequate staffing levels

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of verifiable security experience (or military/law enforcement equivalent)
• Ability to work any shift, any day of the week, and at any facility within the operational area
• Possession of all required licenses, permits, and certifications
• No transportation restrictions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a site lead or supervisor
• Completion of advanced security or leadership training
• Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV, and alarm monitoring
• Ability to mentor or train other officers
