Kentucky Underground Experienced Certification, 1 year underground coal mine experience, 6 months face experience, Proficiency with mining equipment, Ability to lift 50-100 lbs
About the role
Responsibilities
- Fill in on production units as needed, including running equipment like roof bolters, scoops, shuttle cars, or continuous miners
- Maintain roadways (water/grade)
- Build brattices, overcasts, and set up new units for seal building
- Haul and unload supplies
- Assist in belt and power moves
- Reclaim belt and framing from old panels
- Perform other tasks under the direction of the shift foreman
Requirements
- Kentucky Underground Experienced Certification
- 1 year of experience working in an underground coal mine
- 6 months of face experience
- Proficiency operating at least 2 pieces of equipment (Roof Bolter Roof Ranger II, Continuous Miner, Scoop, or Shuttle Car)
- Ability to lift 50 to 100 lbs
