Utility Operator

Responsibilities

• Safely and proficiently operate heavy equipment within a busy steel mill environment
• Operate large mobile equipment in various areas of the facility
• Perform manual laboring duties such as clean up and shoveling when equipment is not in use
• Re-assign to other large off-road mobile equipment as required

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience operating heavy equipment
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including both daytime and nighttime
• Physical ability to climb in and out of equipment using steps and ladders
• Ability to shift gears manually
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and navigate uneven surfaces
• Must remain alert and drug-free at all times for safety compliance
