About the role
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on managing electricity, gas, water, and telecoms from feasibility to procurement
- Lead utility connection projects from concept to completion, managing timelines and budgets
- Conduct due diligence and design concept strategies for utility infrastructure
- Act as the main point of contact with utility providers, regulatory bodies, and internal project teams
- Identify and mitigate utility-related risks such as grid constraints and asset locations
- Advise on energy and water savings, procurement, and sustainability targets
- Adhere to industry regulations including NRSWA and HSG47
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent professional qualification in engineering, project management, or similar
- Thorough understanding of the utility industry and technical aspects like loading calculations and network design
- Knowledge of the UK utility market and associated regulatory frameworks
- Experience in utility procurement and management roles
- Knowledge of renewable technologies in relation to utility connections
- Familiarity with legislation such as the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, HAUC, and HSG47
