About the role

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain cleaning routines in all food production outlets and assigned areas
  • Ensure cleanliness of galley storage areas and provide necessary cleaning materials
  • Maintain cleanliness and working condition of cleaning equipment and utensils, reporting any damages
  • Manage garbage segregation and waste disposal in the trash room in compliance with Public Health Policies
  • Assist with F&B events, provisions loading, and the training of galley staff
  • Consistently maintain high levels of U.S. Public Health and FDA Standards
  • Uphold impeccable grooming and uniform standards at all times

Requirements

  • ServSafe Certification is required
  • Professional experience as a Kitchen/Hotel Steward or similar in a 5-star hospitality or restaurant environment
  • Knowledge of US Public Health and FDA Standards
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card)
  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • Physically fit and able to meet the demands of an intense shipboard role, including standing, kneeling, and carrying heavy items for prolonged periods
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be fully vaccinated against required immunizations (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus/Diphtheria, and Hepatitis A and B)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in managing sanitary food service operations, including waste separation and recycling
  • Experience with chemical handling
  • Shipboard experience
