About the role
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain cleaning routines in all food production outlets and assigned areas
- Ensure cleanliness of galley storage areas and provide necessary cleaning materials
- Maintain cleanliness and working condition of cleaning equipment and utensils, reporting any damages
- Manage garbage segregation and waste disposal in the trash room in compliance with Public Health Policies
- Assist with F&B events, provisions loading, and the training of galley staff
- Consistently maintain high levels of U.S. Public Health and FDA Standards
- Uphold impeccable grooming and uniform standards at all times
Requirements
- ServSafe Certification is required
- Professional experience as a Kitchen/Hotel Steward or similar in a 5-star hospitality or restaurant environment
- Knowledge of US Public Health and FDA Standards
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card)
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Physically fit and able to meet the demands of an intense shipboard role, including standing, kneeling, and carrying heavy items for prolonged periods
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be fully vaccinated against required immunizations (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus/Diphtheria, and Hepatitis A and B)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in managing sanitary food service operations, including waste separation and recycling
- Experience with chemical handling
- Shipboard experience
