Utility Assistant (Fleet Services Mechanic)

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance of light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance and light fabrication
• Troubleshoot and detect problems in hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and A/C systems
• Maintain safety standards and demonstrate ethical behavior at all times
• Perform physically demanding activities including bending, kneeling, crawling, and standing for long periods

Requirements

• High School diploma
• At least 2 years of experience in the automotive maintenance field
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to obtain and/or hold a CDL license
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Availability to work overtime, call-outs, weekends, and holidays as required
• Ability to work in various temperature extremes

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-year Technical Degree in Automotive Technology
• ASE certification
• Welding certification
• Experience with hydraulics and diesel engines
• Knowledge of light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles
