About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site assessments of utility infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, water, and wastewater systems
- Evaluate system performance, reliability, and resilience to identify vulnerabilities impacting mission execution
- Develop engineering recommendations to mitigate risks and improve installation resilience
- Perform vulnerability assessments of utility equipment and supporting infrastructure across defense facilities
- Prepare comprehensive engineering reports detailing findings, risk analyses, and mitigation strategies
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and government stakeholders to evaluate system compliance
- Review engineering drawings, facility documentation, and construction plans
- Evaluate preventive and predictive maintenance programs for prime power, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Verify compliance with UFC, OSHA, NFPA, and DoD engineering standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in utility engineering, facility infrastructure, or prime power operations
- Active Top-Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI eligibility
- Experience conducting utility infrastructure vulnerability assessments
- Strong knowledge of prime power systems, electrical distribution, and water/wastewater systems
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Operational experience in U.S. Navy Nuclear Power Program or U.S. Army Prime Power Program
- Master's degree in an engineering discipline
- Experience supporting Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) programs
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) credentials
