About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as a lead Process Engineering resource for site utilities, including water production, compressed air, nitrogen, and natural gas systems.
  • Recommend and implement solutions to drive continuous improvement and design process improvement tests.
  • Lead and participate in Capital Programs to upgrade and refurbish equipment.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts, incident investigations, and Process Hazards Analyses.
  • Monitor performance and generate documentation to support compliance with site regulations and permits (NPDES, Title V, etc.).

Requirements

  • Minimum of a BS in Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in an industrial process environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of typical chemical plant equipment such as pumps, compressors, piping, valves, and boilers.
  • Awareness of OSHA 1910 (Process Safety Management).
  • Permanent work status in the United States without immigration sponsorship.
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including steel toes, hard hat, Nomex, eye protection, and respirators.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with wells, well drilling, and pumping systems.
  • Experience with air compressor maintenance and rebuilding.
  • Knowledge of environmental monitoring equipment and instrumentation (pH, flow measurement, TOC analyzers, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Title V and NPDES regulations.
