About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the building of relationships and interaction with customers and partners within the Intelligence and National Security Space communities.
- Develop written materials including talking papers, briefings, and responses to requests for information (RFIs).
- Shape requirements that align Astranis capabilities with USG national space strategy.
- Lead or support proposal activities, including serving as a capture manager, proposal manager, or volume lead.
- Identify key decision-makers within USG intelligence and space organizations to improve solution awareness.
- Track USG programs of interest, including budgets, Congressional actions, and technical requirements.
- Assess competitor capabilities and identify industry partnership opportunities to expand system capabilities.
- Represent Astranis in relevant trade associations, coalitions, and conferences.
Requirements
- B.S. or B.A. in engineering or a hard science.
- 5+ years of experience in engineering, program management, corporate strategy, or USG sales/business development.
- Working knowledge of USG intelligence community and space organizations.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance (with less than 5 years since a previously active TS/SCI).
- Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence Polygraph.
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- M.S. in engineering or M.A. in business.
- 7+ years of experience in relevant fields.
- Working knowledge of satellites, national security space systems/architectures, and missions.
- Experience with USG capture/proposal management or USG acquisition processes.
- Based in the National Capital Region (NCR) or San Francisco.
