About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and manage Federal Work Study (FWS) student employees
- Oversee circulation operations during the second shift, including opening and closing procedures
- Manage circulating materials, including course reserves, Interlibrary Loans, and general collections
- Conduct user and item record maintenance, physical material processing, and stack maintenance
- Assist patrons with the library catalog, electronic resources, computers, and printing
- Manage consortia borrowing and lending requests, including INN-REACH network patrons
- Compile library statistical reports and assist with digitization projects and library exhibits
- Perform basic troubleshooting for printers, computers, and copiers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least one year of library experience
- Demonstrated customer service experience
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with a library automated system, specifically Ex Libris’ Alma
- Experience working in an academic library setting with faculty, staff, and students
- Experience supervising student employees
- Knowledge of interlibrary loan and document delivery systems (e.g., OCLC WorldShare ILL, Rapido)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
