User Research Co-op

Responsibilities

• Assist in data collection through interviews, usability studies, and survey analysis
• Observe participants and perform note-taking during research sessions
• Code video recordings and interviews for qualitative analysis
• Support the recruitment of research participants
• Assist in the setup and preparation of various research studies
• Collaborate with the research team to gain insights into player motivation and game development processes

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in Psychology, HCI, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, or a related field
• Knowledge of qualitative user research methods and analysis
• Competency in quantitative data analysis and descriptive statistics
• Familiarity with Excel or similar tools for generating quantitative findings
• Understanding of grounded theory
• Strong presentation design and public speaking skills
• A passion for gaming
