User Experience Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the UX Lead by conducting user research sessions including interviews, usability tests, and contextual inquiries
• Execute discussion guides, screeners, and research protocols as defined by the UX Lead
• Observe and document user behaviors, pain points, and patterns during sessions
• Administer quantitative data collection methods such as surveys, card sorting, and tree testing
• Compile and organize raw research data into clean, structured formats for synthesis

Requirements

• Current Poly clearance
• Ten years of experience in User Experience Design
• Five years of experience leading UX design within the last ten years
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, UX Design, or a related discipline (or 4 years of additional relevant experience)
• Three years of experience with screen mock-up tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Axure
• Hands-on experience conducting usability testing, interviews, and contextual inquiry
• Working knowledge of qualitative discovery and quantitative data collection methods
• Strong note-taking and data organization skills
