User Experience Designer 2

Responsibilities

• Support the UX Lead by conducting user research sessions including interviews, usability tests, and contextual inquiries
• Execute discussion guides, screeners, and research protocols
• Observe and document user behaviors, pain points, and patterns
• Administer quantitative data collection methods such as surveys, card sorting, and tree testing
• Compile and organize raw research data into structured formats for synthesis
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 10 years of related experience
• Hands-on experience conducting usability testing and interviews
• Working knowledge of qualitative and quantitative data collection methods
• Strong note-taking and data organization skills
• Ability to obtain an active TS/SCI with FSP within 7 years

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience running research studies end-to-end
• Experience operating in an agile development environment
• Ability to create visual designs, storyboards, and interaction flows
• Experience working with Product Owners to prototype and iterate on design solutions
