USB Applications Engineer, Staff

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers integrating DesignWare USB Mixed Signal PHY IP, from initial integration through silicon bring-up and debug
• Troubleshoot customer issues across synthesis, static timing analysis, design-for-test, and clock domain crossing
• Guide customers through USB 2.0, USB 3.x, and Type-C protocol implementation and design tradeoffs
• Collaborate with Synopsys R&D and product teams to escalate complex issues and feed customer requirements back into the roadmap
• Deliver technical presentations and integration best practices to customer engineering teams during design reviews
• Travel occasionally to customer sites across Korea and the region to support critical milestones

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• 8+ years of ASIC design or verification experience
• Strong working knowledge of synthesis, static timing analysis, design-for-test, and clock domain crossing
• Excellent communication skills in both Korean and English
• Ability to work independently and drive issues to resolution in ambiguous, customer-driven situations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with USB 2.0, USB 3.x protocols, or Type-C
• Proven ability to explain complex technical tradeoffs to customer architects
