US Investment Grade Strategy VP

Responsibilities

• Produce and deliver differentiated market research and actionable investment ideas for US Investment Grade markets to Barclays clients.
• Analyze market, sector, corporate, and economic data to develop investment theses and best-in-class research.
• Create a range of research products, from individual company or sector notes to long-dated thematic reports.
• Present research views to clients through direct interactions, virtual meetings, hosted events, and written communications.
• Engage with Markets, Client Strategy, and other internal stakeholders to raise awareness of research and provide insights to help navigate financial markets.
• Collaborate with Supervisory Analysts and Compliance to ensure all research is produced and delivered in a compliant manner.
• Contribute to the US Credit Alpha publication and highlight weekly views across investment grade markets.

Requirements

• Extensive background in financial modeling and data assessment.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Solid foundation in macro and microeconomic research and credit market evaluation.
• Proficiency in coding, specifically Python.
• Deep knowledge of Investment Grade markets.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior exposure to investment banking or similar fast-paced financial environments.
• Confirmed ability to engage with senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with data platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet, and S&P Capital IQ.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong ability to multi-task with high attention to detail.
