About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive Enterprise Deals by managing high-volume commercial workflows, redlining and negotiating Licensing, B2B SaaS agreements, MSAs, and NDAs
- Engage directly with enterprise-level opposing counsel to ensure swift and strategic deal closures
- Provide legal guidance to technical and operational teams, translating complex frameworks into actionable business advice
- Partner with the General Counsel to build and refine internal legal playbooks, contract templates, and negotiation guardrails
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts (including 2+ years in-house) OR 10+ years at a major law firm
- Proven track record in high-velocity B2B SaaS, enterprise software licensing, and tech transactions
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with a US state bar
- Eligibility to register as In-House Counsel in New York
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize heavy workloads in a fast-growing tech environment
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex requirements for non-lawyers
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with federal contracting, government procurement, or FAR/DFARS compliance
- Strong working knowledge of US privacy regulations (CCPA/CPRA) and data security frameworks related to AI and cloud infrastructure
