Urgent Care Physician

Responsibilities

• Plan, evaluate, and implement high-quality medical care for both adult and pediatric patients
• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of patient satisfaction
• Provide authenticated reports of all services rendered and maintain accurate, complete medical records
• Perform clinical procedures including suturing and abscess drainage
• Read and interpret diagnostic studies such as X-rays and EKGs
• Participate in meetings and activities to support urgent care operations and professional development

Requirements

• Current and valid license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) in South Carolina
• Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Current DEA registration
• Experience with suturing and abscess drainage
• Experience reading X-rays and EKGs
• BLS certification (training can be provided if needed)
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive, energetic attitude in a fast-paced environment
