Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities

• Conduct age-appropriate history and virtual exams for patients of all ages
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of acute, chronic, and mental health conditions
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed to support clinical decisions
• Develop and document accurate treatment plans in a timely manner
• Counsel and educate patients and families on various treatment plans
• Request consultations or referrals with other healthcare providers when appropriate
• Maintain current knowledge of clinical best practices and evidence-based care

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Master’s or Doctoral-level Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program
• Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Arizona
• Active RN compact license
• Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through AANP or ANCC
• Minimum 3+ years of post-training experience in high-volume Urgent Care or Primary Care settings
• Experience providing care to populations ranging from newborns through adults
• Ability to maintain active Medicare status in good standing
• Proficiency with technology and electronic medical records

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in telemedicine or video-based virtual care
• Experience using Athena EMR
• Possession of five or more active multi-state licenses
