About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality patient assessment and management of minor injury and illness
  • Practice autonomously encompassing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Manage patient discharge and referral for undifferentiated injury and illness
  • Work within dynamic practitioner led teams in urgent care departments

Requirements

  • Healthcare Professional registered with NMC, HCPC, or GPhC
  • Completion of an EP Course to degree level or equivalent
  • ENB 998 or C&G 7307 or equivalent teaching/mentorship course
  • Over 4 years of experience in an acute emergency setting
  • At least 1 year of experience as a band 6 in an autonomous practitioner role
  • Advanced clinical skills including X-ray/ECG interpretation, venepuncture, and suturing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree or willingness to work towards one
  • Evidence of teaching, research, and audit
  • ALS provider
  • IT skills
