About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide high quality patient assessment and management of minor injury and illness
- Practice autonomously encompassing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
- Manage patient discharge and referral for undifferentiated injury and illness
- Work within dynamic practitioner led teams in urgent care departments
Requirements
- Healthcare Professional registered with NMC, HCPC, or GPhC
- Completion of an EP Course to degree level or equivalent
- ENB 998 or C&G 7307 or equivalent teaching/mentorship course
- Over 4 years of experience in an acute emergency setting
- At least 1 year of experience as a band 6 in an autonomous practitioner role
- Advanced clinical skills including X-ray/ECG interpretation, venepuncture, and suturing
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or willingness to work towards one
- Evidence of teaching, research, and audit
- ALS provider
- IT skills
