About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the urban infrastructure team in Chicoutimi, managing resource allocation and professional development.
- Oversee the design, planning, and management of large-scale municipal projects including roadways, sewers, aqueducts, and stormwater management.
- Review and comment on project deliverables and supervise junior team members to support their career growth.
- Participate in the development of professional service proposals and market expansion strategies.
- Act as a Project Manager for urban development projects while promoting a culture of innovation, safety, and collaboration.
- Support the team in achieving billability targets and participate in the creation of standard operating procedures (SOP).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with relevant experience.
- Active membership with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
- 10+ years of experience in urban development.
- Valid ASP Construction card.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to plan and execute projects with limited supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in professional consulting services.
- Deep understanding of municipal infrastructure systems.
- Proficiency in English to facilitate collaboration with international teams and clients.
- Previous experience in team management or leadership roles.
