Responsibilities
- Maintain honey bee hives at client sites on a three-week service cycle
- Install new hives and related equipment at client locations
- Conduct routine hive inspections and maintenance
- Manage complete honey harvest and final product delivery
- Collect samples and field data to monitor hive health
- Complete accurate record-keeping and service reports using digital tools
- Perform pest and parasite monitoring and treatment
- Facilitate educational workshops and engage the public
- Travel to client sites, apiary yards, and equipment depots
Requirements
- Hands-on beekeeping experience and knowledge of hive health
- Availability to service hives on a recurring schedule
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfort using mobile and digital tools for data logging
- Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle
- Ability to work at heights and lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfort with beekeeping hazards such as stings and inclement weather
