About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the Urban Applications department in Bangalore, driving global complex programs and managing industrialization.
- Oversee software development best practices, ensuring scalability, reliability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage multi-functional teams, providing mentorship, performance management, and hiring support.
- Drive program execution in line with QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) and Alstom processes.
- Manage S&OP, budgets, risk management, change control, and variation orders to optimize financial performance.
- Act as the primary representative of the department to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration while maintaining compliance with ethics, safety, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Engineering Degree or Master’s Degree (mandatory).
- 15 to 20 years of successful leadership experience in industries such as Railway Signalling, Industrial Automation, or Aerospace.
- At least 5 years of direct experience in the Railway Signalling industry.
- Proven experience working in multinational environments and diverse business cultures.
- Significant experience in handling global programs and managing large-scale teams.
- Knowledge of CBTC Systems for Urban Solutions.
- Familiarity with industry protocols including OPC UA, EULYNX, and NEUPRO.
- Experience deploying industry-standard tools such as ALM and CoPilot.
- Strong understanding of safety processes, specifically SIL2 and SIL4.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of embedded technologies and HW/SW integrations.
- Proficiency in automation using the latest technologies, including Artificial Intelligence.
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on strategic problem-solving.
