Upstream Mammalian Cell Culture Technician

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and workspace
• Manage inventory of lab supplies and reagents, working with stocking groups to maintain minimum consumable quantities
• Assist in setting up and conducting experiments, including building 2L bioreactors for scientist experiments
• Autoclave glass reactors prior to cell culture experiments
• Maintain accurate records of all laboratory activities
• Support lab staff in various technical tasks as needed

Requirements

• Prior experience working in a laboratory environment
• Associate’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree
• Strong organizational skills and high level of attention to detail
• Ability to follow established protocols and perform tasks with integrity
• Authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with aseptic cell culture techniques
• Experience with 2L bioreactors
• Familiarity with laboratory instruments such as Nova Flex or blood gas analyzers (BGA)
