Upper School World Language Teacher - French

Responsibilities

• Teach a full-time load of five classes and guide an advisory group
• Deliver a rigorous French curriculum using diverse assessment strategies and Standards-Based Grading
• Differentiate instruction and assessment to meet the diverse needs of all students
• Communicate regularly with students and families regarding academic progress and feedback
• Create a safe, respectful learning environment that fosters a global mindset and intellectual risk-taking
• Utilize learning management systems and technology to enhance lessons and track student data
• Participate in school-wide events, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities
• Collaborate with the Student Support Team to identify and assist students needing additional academic help

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of Upper School teaching experience
• Professional-level fluency in French, including the ability to teach and assess complex academic content
• Strong knowledge of curriculum and instruction within the French language content area
• Highly developed written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
• Proven organizational skills in lesson planning, unit implementation, and assessment design
• Commitment to the school’s mission, core values, and inclusive community standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching within the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework, specifically IB Language A or B
