University Writer and Editor

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, write, edit, and proof content for a diverse array of University projects.
• Develop compelling storytelling and messaging to connect with prospective students, parents, alumni, and donors.
• Create engaging content for website copy, academic program descriptions, news releases, feature articles, and recruitment assets.
• Support the development of creative marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand standards and department goals.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Collaborate closely with the Marketing & Media Relations Team and various University clients across campus.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in writing, English, or a related field.
• At least three years of professional experience in writing or editing.
• Strong copywriting, copy editing, and proofreading skills.
• Deep knowledge of AP style and journalistic writing standards.
• Proven experience creating content for marketing campaigns and diverse audiences.
• Strong project management and communication planning skills.
