University Custodian

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned areas, including servicing lavatories, sanitizing surfaces, vacuuming, and mopping floors.
• Manage waste by collecting debris and replacing receptacle liners.
• Complete work orders, respond to radio calls, and assist with event setup and take-down for summer conferences.
• Provide work direction and assistance to student employees and contracted workers.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming campus environment in alignment with the university's mission.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Commitment to the Christ-centered mission and values of Bethel University.
• Ability to work 2nd shift (4:00 pm – 12:00 am), Sunday through Thursday.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (sponsorship not provided).

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional custodial experience.
• Some post-secondary classwork.
