Universal Banker II

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service by processing financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments
• Open consumer and business membership accounts and assist with account maintenance
• Identify member financial needs through consultative questioning and recommend appropriate products like IRAs, CDs, and loans
• Process loan applications, review documentation, and notify members of decisions
• Maintain accurate balancing records and manage branch technology such as ATMs, cash recyclers, and check scanners
• Support branch operations by performing tasks like vault teller duties, ATM balancing, and branch recaps
• Document all member interactions and follow-up needs in the IRM system
• Provide mentorship to retail branch employees and assist with onboarding new staff

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• 3-5 years of experience in a financial branch environment or comparable retail sales experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with members and colleagues in both written and verbal formats
• Strong analytical and math skills to interpret financial information and resolve issues
• Ability to work a Saturday rotation schedule and provide coverage at other branches when necessary
• Ability to pass background, credit, and drug screens
